Bright and Cheery Quilt by Catherine
Catherine loves to make bright and cheery quilts and this one is no exception. She also almost exclusively uses flannel for her backing making her quilts so very soft and cozy. Great job Catherine - love all the bright colors and your great combination of fabrics.

Special Quilt going to Medicine Hat
I was asked to make a very special quilt. Bobbi Jo from Medicine Hat asked if I would make this quilt for her, using her mother's clothing (her mother passed away fairly recently). It was an honor and a privilege to make this quilt and I hope is will bring joy and comfort to Bobbi Jo. The pattern is "Paper Hearts" by Tula Pink.

Beautiful Fabric from India - Pieced by Elizabeth
My friend Elizabeth works with a lady who was on a trip to India and brought back fabric for Elizabeth to make into a quilt for her. Now thinking about it, I may have the story a bit backwards and maybe the lady brought the fabric for Elizabeth and she, decided to make it into a quilt for her co-worker friend. I'll try to set the story right when I get together with Elizabeth and can pick her brain a bit more - nothing like telling an upside down story. Sheesh - Sorry Elizabeth!
Elizabeth did an awesome job coordinating these beautiful fabrics into a wonderful quilt and what a great keepsake of her trip to India.
There was a fair amount of blank space that was just calling out for some custom quilting. As well the fabric just kept on speaking to me as if I was on a mission. The back definitely shows off the quilting better than the front and the sheen of the backing fabric showcases the fun I had quilting this beauty.

Fun Cupcake Quilt for Mac
Every once and a while I get something finished for someone in my family. My darling granddaughter MacKenzi has not gotten a quilt from this grandma since she was 2 - she'll be 13 in September. I know, I know - I am not going there with excuses.
When she was younger she loved making cup cakes - now she's into rock music, boy bands etc. etc. Maybe she'll just put this one away for her kids, but I'm hoping she can just use it as a cuddle quilt when watching tv. Sorry it took so long sweetie. Next is one for your brother.
The embroidery designs are from JuJu Designs, the pattern is Square n Square by Jodi Barrows and the quilting is all freehand. I really really had fun making this quilt and am happy how it turned out.

"Lucky" pieced by Joanna
This beauty was brought in by Joanna who is a few years into quilting and has definitely found her passion. I am always so very pleased to see young quilter's taking up this wonderful craft and Joanna's eyes sparkle when we start to speak about quilting.
Joanna chose this pattern called "Lucky" by Camille Roskelley and mentioned that the fabric line was called "Scrumptious" (and that it is). Great job Joanna - keep up the good work.
Freehand quilting - the design is called soft floral. The thread is a soft variegated cotton pastel - Tutti by Wonderfil and the batting is Hobbs 80/20/
