"Charlie's Quilt" by Rose and granddaughter

Rose and her granddaughter worked on this adorable novelty quilt together.  So much fun, great fabrics and special time spent with each other.  I'm sure Charlie will absolutely love his wonderful quilt.  Anyone want to guess who Charlie might be?

Great job ladies - keep up the awesome work and continue to have fun!

Freehand star/swirl design, Tutti thread by Wonderfil and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Truly an inspiration - Betty you are amazing.

These two adorable baby quilts were brought in by Catherine for her mom Betty.   I think I've mentioned that Betty does not live in Calgary and her daughter brings her quilts in for me to finish up -  so Betty and I have never met in person.

Both of these quilts have hand applique and are done absolutely impeccably. Keep up the great work Betty - can't wait to see what else you're working on. You are such a wonderful inspiration - thank you.

Both quilts are done with freehand quilting with a bit of lite custom on the hearts and sail boats.

Anniversary Quilt by Sheila R

Sheila R brought in this wonderful chocolate brown block quilt.  Sheila mentioned she picked up a large amount of these  great print down in Arizona where she spends as much time as possible.  This quilt was made for Sheila's daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary.  The fabric selection was exactly what her daughter mentioned she wanted and I can't wait to hear what her reaction was when she receives it.  Sheila brought minky for the backing (which I might add was chocolate brown - poof photo) to add a wonderful cozy feel to this very special gift.  Nice work Sheila and keep on quilting!

The quilting was my freehand bubbles design, a beautiful variegated thread - Mirage by Wonderfil and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

"New Addition" by Susan L

Lovely little modern style baby quilt made for someone special by Susan L.  Interesting how the colors are far from the pinks and blues most of us traditional quilters think we need to use on baby quilts.  Times are a changing!  Awesome job as usual Susan.

Quilting is freehand bubble design. Great design for baby quilts - fast and effective!

Adorable Baby Quilts by Doreen T

I know that there are many of you that are like me and love to make baby quilts.  Well I'm doubly blessed as not only do I get to piece baby quilts but I also get to quilt them.  Here are two that Doreen made for a lucky little one.

Freehand quilting.  The top quilt is freehand bubbles and the second is freehand funky hearts.  Tutti 100% cotton variegated thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting was used on both quilts.

Gorgeous Embroidered Quilt by "you got it" - MAXINE

Isn't this a great quilt Max embroidered.  It didn't need too much quilting but I definitely wanted to enhance the beautiful blocks with SID and give the large borders some texture.  Great job Max - love it!  Keep us the awesome work.

Eureka - a Jackie Robinson design - Pieced by Susan L

I really didn't appreciate the piecing on this quilt until I took the photo.  The beautiful feather star and all the other perfectly piecing by Susan.  You rock my friend.  The quilting is my standard freehand leaf/swirl design. Jackie Robinson would be very very pleased with the outcome of her pattern - Eureka.

"Hound's Tooth" by Julie K

Julie brings the most interesting quilts to me for quilting.  I would call Julie a fairly modern quilter and this "Hound's Tooth" quilt falls into that category (personal opinion only). Julie also prefers my freehand large stipple design for her quilting.  Great job Julie - can't wait to see what you're working on next!

Beautiful Batik Quilt by Susan M

This beautiful batik quilt was brought in by 1st time customer Susan M.  When she picked it up the other day she said it looked a lot more vibrant than when she brought it.  Now that had nothing to do with my quilting but it did turn out lovely.

The quilting is my standard freehand double swirl design using variegated purple thread - Mirage by Wonderfil.

Wedding Signature Quilt by Bev A

This wonderful gift was made by friend Bev for their son's upcoming wedding.  The quilt will be displayed at the wedding for family and friends to sign or write a message on the light blocks for the newly wed couple to cherish as a memento of their special day.

What a wonderful gift - Bev did an amazing job putting this together - great work!

The quilting is freehand leaves/swirls, a lovely solid cotton thread - Konfetti by Wonderfil and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Raspberry Swirl Ice Cream - Kaffe Fassett Fabric - Pieced by Elizabeth

Wow - how gorgeous is this quilt.  Elizabeth is a fan of the Kaffe Fassett fabric and can you blame her?  These fabrics are absolutely "too die for".  I knew when I was quilting this beauty that Elizabeth would not be able to give it away - and I was right!  When she picked it up last night and saw the finished quilt, she decided right then and there to hang on to this one and eventually pass it on to someone very special.

The quilting was my standard freehand soft swirls as the fabric just needed texture and not much else.  A lovely variegated cotton thread - Tutti by Wonderfil was used as well as Hobbs 80/20 batting.
