Bubble Quilt by Catherine

We called this bright cheery quilt "the bubble quilt".  Not only does it have bubble fabric in it but I also used some freehand bubbles and hearts in the quilting. Hobbs 80/20 batting, Tutti 100% variegated cotton thread.  Love love love the bright colors - great job Catherine.

Amazing Civil War Quilt by Betty in Innisfail

This very large civil war quilt is a wonderful demonstration of the great work Betty in Innisfail is doing.  Unfortunately because of the fabric design the intricacy of the blocks do not show up  as well as I would have liked.  Wish you all could see it in person - it's amazing!

The quilting is freehand scroll pattern, Hobbs 80/20 batting and 100% cotton variegated thread - Tutti by Wonderfil.

 

Julie's Valentine Quilt - "Surrounded by Love"

Julie brought this cheery quilt and will be using it to decorate her home for St. Valentine's Day - isn't that sweet.  I must admit this is a holiday that I don't give much thought to and I guess it's because it's only a one day holiday, unlike Christmas where we can leave our Christmas quilts and decorations up until June - ok I'm not really that bad but you get what I mean.

Julie did a lovely job and the name is so sweet - "Surrounded by Love" - which I'm sure she definitely is!

Freehand quilting - hearts, swirls, etc. etc. etc.  Mirage thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Stunning Black & Gold Square in a Square by Nancy N

What wonderful fabric choices Nancy N made for this stunning quilt.  She used a square in a square pattern showcasing the large gold floral print.  Awesome job Nancy and keep up the good work.

The quilting is freehand double swirls using a beautiful gold/black variegated thread - Mirage by Wonderfil.

Hugs & Kisses by Lisa K

The perfect pattern for a modern baby quilt called "Hugs & Kisses".  When Lisa dropped this cutie off at the studio she said "how could I not make this pattern with a name like "Hugs & Kisses" - I totally agree - ADORABLE!   Lisa also used a soft and cozy flannel for the backing - what a perfect find.

The quilting is freehand fun with hearts, flowers, swirls and anything else you may see that I threw in.  The thread was 100% variegated Tutti by Wonderfil.

Teddy Bear Quilt all quilted

Shelly picked up her adorable Teddy Bear quilt yesterday and I'm happy to say she was very pleased with how I had quilted it.  As I've mentioned before I'm always a bit nervous when a first time customer picks up their quilt.  Although I was pleased with the work I put into this quilt you never know what a customer really expects.

The quilting was all custom quilting with a fair amount of ruler work but mainly a lot of fun fun fun freehand.

Adorable Baby Quilt by Elizabeth P

Elizabeth liked this fabric so much that she decided to make a baby quilt.  Soft pastel pinks with the cutest bunny rabbits on the focal fabric.  Light custom quilting on this one.

Sad the photos do not show up very well - the fabric is very very pale.
